Professional Development Fund and Professional Development Loans

Support staff may wish to develop their professional effectiveness through an external course or qualification.

For those who would like to attend an external accredited programme which incurs fees (such as the Open University or advanced management programmes) we may be able to offer small grants towards the cost of the fees, provided the application is supported by their head of department and the applicant fulfils the criteria for the scheme.

This funding is limited so it may not always be possible to award a grant. However, should this be the case, it may be possible to arrange an interest free loan to cover your expenditure on fees.

The College has an Interest Free Loan for Training scheme which is managed by the Learning Institute.
