Welcome to Q-Review
Q-Review is a free service at QMUL to enable staff to record and publish their lectures or presentations. The underlying software used for Q-Review is Echo360 system. The project is led by the E-Learning Unit within the Learning Institute with technical expertise and innovative input from Teaching Room Facilities and IT Services.
It is an opt-in service that aims to encourage innovative and flexible teaching methods, and lecturers retain full control over their recordings. Lecture capture helps both students and staff in their learning and teaching. These recordings can be accessed on mobiles, desktops and laptops. Recordings in lecture rooms can be scheduled, and are automatically made available in the Blackboard course areas (if the presenter chooses to), as an RSS feed for iTunes, or as a link to download the recordings. It will record the audio, video and capture your presentation (e.g. your slides, visualiser materials, interactive whiteboard or on-screen annotations). It can be automated to record with no staff involvement a complete schedule up to a year in advance.
There is also a Personal Capture software for people who cannot book the equipped room. Personal Capture is a simple tool use to capture your computers screen, audio from a microphone, and video from a webcam (if available). The Personal Capture software can be installed onto a computer or laptop (PC or MAC) allowing you to be able to record from the comfort of your desk, or take your laptop with you to the classroom or record virtually anywhere you can take your mobile computer.
