The second in the 2011/12 series of educational research seminars run by the Learning Institute at QMUL is due to take place on Monday 14th November and may be of particular interest to those interested in e-learning.

Professor Della Freeth from the Centre for Medical Education will be delivering a seminar entitled “Supporting accomplished facilitation: Using appreciative inquiry to underpin the development of web-based self-directed learning materials for faculty working in clinical simulation centres”.

As we are now approaching the end of the academic year, we will soon be getting Blackboard ready for the start of the new year, we call this process “rollover”. This process will involve Blackboard being offline for a period of time so please read through this article as it explains what we’re going to do, when we’re going to to it and how this will affect you as a user of the virtual learning environment.

QMUL is hosting a one day lecture capture event: “Lecture Capture – doing it well and at scale.”

This event is being run by the Association for Learning Technology (ALT), and will include various exhibitions and presentation sessions throughout the day.
